The Monkeyshine

The Monekyshine is a custom-built 35’ Express model sport fisher. This boat was designed and constructed to be a serious fishing vessel, and it has a very comfortable functional layout for offshore fishing. She is powered with twin Caterpillar C-7 marine engines, each producing 455 horsepower, which makes for a fast and agile boat. This speed is an advantage when traveling to your fishing destination or when backing down on sailfish and marlin.

The Monkey Sea

A 1982 Bertram 31' Flybridge is powered by 3208 Caterpillar engines and when originally purchased, had all the upgraded amenities that were available at the time. Equipped with over-powered engines, a beautiful teak cockpit deck, Lee Senior Outriggers and the perfect Pompanette fighting chair, she awaits the most serious fisherman as well as the novice. You would expect as much since the boat was originally purchased by the former King Hussein of Jordan. Only the best for royalty! The boat is agile, fast and stable, the perfect platform for catching sailfish and tuna or backing down on aggressive marlin.

Manuel Antonio National Park Tour

With this activity we offer you a great deal with a private Nature Guide who works exclusively with the families in our houses/villas.

We promise you an amazing guided tour for a great price.

During this activity you will be taken inside the National Park where you will have the chance to spot the wildlife of the area: Three different species of monkeys (capuchin white faced monkeys, howler monkeys and squirrel monkeys), other mammals such as coatis, agoutis, raccoons, lizards, iguanas, a variety of birds, and of course the two species of sloths found in Costa Rica. Half-way into the tour, you will have a chance to swim at the beach inside the Natural Park. You’ll finish up on the trails.

Rafting

Naranjo River: Half-day tour. (Run only during Rainy Season)

For more experienced rafters, the Naranjo River runs from April to December and is a consistent adrenaline-pumping Class III – IV Wild River.

Tour times: 7:40am / 12:30pm

Savegre River: ¾-day and Full-day tour. (Run in both Rainy and Dry Seasons)

This is a more family-friendly tour. The Savegre River provides Class II, III and some rare IV rapids that are more than manageable. And of course you can expect the guides and safety kayakers to be bilingual and internationally-trained. They will expertly coach you through navigating either river.
